(More customer reviews)Standout is undoubtedly very important to save time when working by yourself. One IMPORTANT thing to know before you buy this quality measuring tape is that due to its heavy end clip and blade, it has a comparatively poor standout when measuring on its side (like when you're measuring siding, etc), and you'll measure sideways a large percentage of the time. The regular Stanley Fat Max tapes have a much longer standout on their side. I've also noticed that the sides of the blades seem to dent very easily, impairing smoothness. It makes me wonder about their durability. I love the new Bostitch tool line, but am going to stay with the Stanley Fat Max tapes.
