(More customer reviews)I needed a new torpedo level because I discovered my cheap Husky brand level was very inaccurate. So I bought this level from Lowe's for about the same price Amazon sells it for (plus CA sales tax). The level appears well made, solid and the levels appear to be accurate. But beware of the quality control with this level. When set on a known flat surface you can see from the side that the base is visibly concave, and it does not sit flat. It is not stable when pressed against the work piece. I ordered a Stabila torpedo level and compared the two. The difference in flatness is significant, with the Stabila seemingly absolutely flat. I will keep the Bostitch as a "beater" to tap landscape blocks level. Stanley appears to have re-labeled the Fat Max Extreme line of levels as Bostitch from the appearance of the torpedo, and their box levels sold at Lowe's. I would check each level thoroughly prior to purchase.
